BSAVA Clinical Research Abstracts

We are delighted to welcome the BSAVA Clinical Research Abstracts to BVA Live 2026, providing a dedicated platform for the small animal veterinary profession to present new research and share valuable clinical insights. The programme will feature both oral presentations and poster displays, offering a dynamic platform for presenters to showcase their research with the wider veterinary community.

Submissions

Applications are welcomed from veterinary professionals working across animal practice, including:

  • Vet and veterinary nurses
  • Practice managers
  • Vets and veterinary nurse students
  • Researchers working in industry, practice or academia

 

Clinical Research Abstracts may focus on any small animal veterinary subject. These could include:

  • Preliminary results from new research
  • The discussion or evaluation of a technique
  • A clinically interesting or unusual case

Each abstract should summarise high quality clinical research in no more than 250 words, following the structured format used for scientific papers.

Submissions for the 2026 programme are now open. Successful applicants invited to present their research at BVA Live.

Submissions close: Friday 6 March 2026

Deadline extended: Midnight 20 March

Presenters notified: Monday 23 March 2026

Event – BVA Live: 11-12 June 2026

 

Winners of the BSAVA Clinical Research Abstracts will receive:

  • A Clinical Research Abstract Winner Certificate
  • A £300 cash prize
  • The opportunity to present in the BSAVA Theatre at BVA Live in June
  • A second opportunity to showcase their work in the Studio at London Vet Show in November
