Who Can Attend BVA Live?

Although the clinical conference is aimed at small animal veterinarians - there's something for all members of the veterinary team at BVA Live. This includes:

  • Veterinary Surgeons
  • Veterinary Nurses
  • Veterinary Assistants
  • Veterinary Students
  • Practice Owners/Managers

What Happens After I Signed Up For The Show?

Once you are registered you will:

  • Receive a confirmation with your registration code and receipt.
  • Be the first to hear about programme and speaker updates.
  • Get exclusive news and discounts from our exhibitors.
  • Your delegate badge will arrive in the mail about two weeks before the show.

How Can I Make Changes To My Registration?

You can edit your registration details any time by calling us at +44 (0) 2476 719 687 or email bvalive@closerstillmedia.com.

Please be aware that we send our tickets by mail before the show. You may edit your details until the 30th April to receive your amended badge by mail. Alternatively, you can also amend your information onsite. 

How Much Does It Cost To Attend?

Full conference passes can be purchased for £299+VAT* by filling out the registration form. *BVA Members will receive a 50% discount. Additionally, the BVA and CloserStill Media are sponsoring 2,000 educational bursaries.

If you’re a UK veterinary professional who previously attended BVA Live, the London Vet Show, a member of the BVA, or currently seeking financial aid, you are eligible to use an educational code to waive the full cost of attending BVA Live.

Eligible veterinary professionals will be contacted via email or phone. If you haven't been contacted but think you are eligible call us at +44 (0) 2476 719 687 or fill in this form to request a code.

What Is Included In My Conference Pass?

Registration includes full access to both days to the exhibition hall and all theatres.

Please note: Proceedings will be available online before the conference and won't be printed.

When Will I Receive My Ticket?

Your ticket(s) are being sent by mail about two weeks before the show. If you signed up after the 30th April you can print your ticket onsite at the registration area using the registration code that you have been emailed previously. 

Can I Cancel My Registration?

Educational bursary tickets can be cancelled before the 30th April, if you do not cancel your pass and don’t attend BVA Live, you will be liable to pay a £99+VAT non-attendance fee.

Passes cannot be transferred to BVA Live 2026, but in some instances may be transferred to a colleague. For any enquiries about your pass, please contact us by calling us at +44 (0) 2476 719 687 or email bvalive@closerstillmedia.com.

Paid-for passes can be refunded up until the 30th April 2025. A service charge of 25% will occur. After this date, no refunds for registrations will be available.

Can I Transfer My Ticket To Another Person?

If you are not able to attend once you've registered, your pass is transferable to another member of your practice. Please contact us by calling us at +44 (0) 2476 719 687 or emailing bvalive@closerstillmedia.com to transfer the ticket.

How Can I Pay For My Registration Fees?

At the moment we only accept the registration via any VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Maestro and Solo. Please note that all fees need to be paid in full at the time of registration. Are There Any Discounted Tickets Available?

The registration area is open from 7:45AM each day, be sure to arrive promptly to ensure an early start to the event.

What is the best way to get to the venue?

Virtually all roads lead to BVA Live, whether you're travelling by train, plane, or car. There are various options available, please visit our travel section to find your best way.

What public transport is available to use?

Getting around Birmingham and the region is easy thanks to the great network of public transport, including buses, trams and trains

Network West Midlands has all the online timetables and fare information you need with easy ticket buying and route planning. 

More and more local buses have facilities such as low floors for easy access for wheelchair users and pushchairs. Please remember that you need to give the exact fare to the driver as you board.

The cashless way to travel. Simply load credit to your card to buy single, return and day tickets on the bus and tram.

No more hassle finding the exact change, just ask your bus or tram driver for your ticket when you board. With most bus operators accepting Pay As You Go and offering a discount, as well as discounted fares on Midland Metro if you pay cash on the bus or tram then switch today to start saving.

Is there any parking available at the venue?

When it comes to exhibition parking, it’s rare to be spoilt for choice. Yet with over 16,500 spaces available you won’t need to search for a spot - once your satnav has brought you to the NEC, follow the signs for the show you're visiting. What’s more, in addition to a vast choice of spaces you can also pick from a range of payment methods including Pre-Paid Parking. Find out more on the NEC website.

How can I arrive by airplane?

Birmingham Airport is right on our doorstep. Simply take the free and fast air-rail link to Birmingham International Railway Station located at the upper level of Terminal 1. The train runs every two minutes and only takes 90 seconds. When you arrive just head straight through to the NEC.

Do I need a VISA to attend the show, if I am not from the United Kingdom?

You may be required to obtain a visa if you are travelling from outside the EU, EEA or Commonwealth. Go to gov.uk to find out more!

Do you have a floorplan available?

Are exhibitors collecting any personal data?

All our attendee badges are encoded with your name, address, phone, organisation, and e-mail address (if applicable). Exhibitors obtain this information only if they scan your badge in the exhibition. If you do not wish to share your information, please do not have your badge scanned.

Continuing Professional Development Accreditation

How many CPD hours will I receive?

BVA Live is accredited for up to 17 hours of CPD for vets and vet nurses.

The conference programme features more than 100+ internationally renowned speakers, delivering 120+ hours of accredited education. It has been designed to cover all species and a broad range of clinical and business topics so no matter what your interests and needs are, you will get the knowledge and advice you need at BVA Live.

Don't forget to pick up your Certificate of Attendance at the CPD Point at BVA Live!

How do I obtain my CPD certificate?

Certificates will be available to collect from CPD Collection Point on the attendee’s last day and also send via email within 2 weeks post event.

Will presentations or recordings be available for purchase?

Onsite Services

Is there any WIFI available?

We understand the need to stay connected, which is why we provide free visitor Wi-Fi across the NEC - no code required.

Is lunch included in my conference pass?

Lunch is not provided at BVA Live, however there are plenty of food options throughout the NEC which you can view here.

Water stations are available throughout each day within the exhibition hall.

Can I bring my child/baby? 

We know that it can be hard to leave your little ones behind. If you would like to bring your newborn or toddler to the show, that is ok if you use a sling or pram. Please let us know if you plan to bring your children to BVA Live so we can cover the appropriate health and safety paperwork by emailing bvalive@closerstillmedia.com. There will also be a family room at BVA Live which is available to you with feeding, pumping and changing facilities, comfy chairs and a few spare bits and bobs you may need.

Is it possible to smoke at the venue?

Smoking is not allowed anywhere inside the venue aside from our designated smoking areas. No excuses, no exceptions. This also applies to e-cigarettes and vaping. Our designated smoking areas are outside the Piazza entrance, the Piazza garden (weather and daylight permitting) and just off the Atrium main entrances.

Is a Lost & Found office available?

It happens to us all, so if you’ve lost something at BVA Live head to our Organisers Office or the NEC Security Office at either the Piazza or Atrium and we’ll do our best to help. Alternatively, call the NEC Lost Property Department on 0121 767 3883.

Where do I pick up my event materials?

Please collect your delegate bag from the entrance area; this includes the Official Show Guide, notepad, pens and other information from our sponsors and partners.
