CaptIVTM: The latest Innovation for Securing IV Lines & Catheters
21 Feb 2023 IMS EuroCorrect maintenance of peripheral intravenous (IV) catheters is vital in the treatment of patients in critical care.
The placement of IV catheters and giving sets can be time-consuming and stressful for both the vet professional and the patient. Preparation of equipment can prolong a procedure and the materials used in securing the catheter can be costly over time when you combine the cost of multiple tapes & removal sprays!
One IV placement may use multiple materials like adhesive tape, bandaging, rolled gauze and self-adherent wrap to secure the site. This arduous method not only uses several valuable items in one go but has the potential to cause discomfort to the patient during removal. A more secure application of the catheter will also ensure that dislodgement or other complications don't occur.
With CaptIVTM, Securing IV Lines and Catheters has Never Been Easier!
