Mike qualified from University College Dublin in 1986. He gained RCVS Specialist status in Veterinary Cardiology in 1995. He ran his own private referral practice (The Veterinary Cardiorespiratory Centre, Kenilworth) until semi-retirement. He has published over 40 scientific peer reviewed papers. He is author of the textbook: Small Animal ECGs: An Introductory Guide (3rd edition). He is the recipient of few BSAVA awards & he was awarded Honorary Life member of the Cardiovascular Society last year. His current work involves, lecturing at meetings & congresses, and hands-on teaching skills (echo, ECGs, cardiac catheterisation).
