
Louise Grieve

Veterinary Specialists Scotland
Louise graduated from Glasgow University in 2003 with a degree in Zoology. She started her veterinary nursing career working in general practice in Glasgow and qualified in 2009. Louise then ventured into referral nursing, working at Vets Now in Glasgow for 9 years as Senior Surgery Nurse. Her postgraduate qualifications include a Diploma in Advanced Veterinary Nursing and a Certificate in Teaching, Coaching and Mentoring. Louise is currently the Learning and Development Team Leader at Veterinary Specialists Scotland, where she is responsible for the training and professional development of the veterinary nurse and veterinary care assistant teams. Louise believes that Human Factors influence our professional lives in many ways, from how we to lead our teams, to how we advocate for patient safety and high clinical standards. Louise’s specific interests include civility in veterinary practice, the impact that strong organisational vision and values have on workplace culture, and the influence of Patient Safety II on team performance.
