Kenny is a survivor of the veterinary profession. He comes from North Ayrshire, attended a comprehensive school and graduated from Edinburgh Vet School in 1988. He started work in mixed practice in Inverness, then Beith back in Ayrshire with some dairy cows still tied in byres for the winter. Conon bridge next then a long spell at Doune in Central Scotland doing mainly farm practice but always pets and horses too. A year in South Island NZ provided a different scene but still mixed practice. Back in the UK doing locums then Fort William West Highlands and my first encounter with corporate practice. Back to the Black Isle for a year; more locums UK-wide and finally after the longest veterinary apprenticeship ever set up a new independent mixed practice with his American wife Cheryl, , serving the Lochaber community
