Hamish qualified as a VN in New Zealand in 2011 and spent the next few years working in zoos and wildlife hospitals in NZ, Australia and the UK. A passion for supporting people working with animals lead him to an MSc in International Animal Welfare, Ethics and Law followed by a Certificate in Veterinary Human Support. He is currently a Lecturer in Clinical Communication Skills at the University of Lancashire School of Veterinary Medicine, and working on his Professional Doctorate in Education at UCL. His goal is to share methods for better supporting animal professionals and develop collaborative projects in this area.
