
Fin Twomey
Head of Scanning Surveillance,
APHA
Fin Twomey is the Head of APHA’s Surveillance Intelligence Unit and leads on APHA’s Scanning Surveillance programme for detecting and characterising New and Re-emerging Disease Threats of animals in England and Wales. Since graduating as a Veterinary Surgeon, he has worked in private veterinary practice before joining APHA as a Veterinary Investigation Officer at the Veterinary Investigation Centre in Starcross, Devon. He then worked in various Animal Health policy areas and APHA’s field service before taking on his current role. Fin is currently also Senior Vice-President of the BVA’s Association of Veterinary Teaching and Research Work.
