Claire graduated form the RVC in 2000 and worked in most areas of clinical practice for the last 19 years. Following her own health challenges following a diagnosis of CFS/ME 5 years ago she co-founded the Fb group Veterinary Spoonholders UK to give fellow professionals a safe space to chat and provide peer to peer support. This has raised awareness of the lack of understanding and discussion about how we as a profession deal with the challenges of living and working with chronic health issues. She is passionate about changing this and is co-founding an organisation aimed at filling this gap and doing for chronic health issues what Mind Matters has been doing for mental health issues.
