Can you tell us a bit about your brand, and what makes it unique in the Veterinary industry?
At Zoetis, we’re privileged to have access to world-class research and development resources and expertise across a range of fields, both companion animals and livestock. It’s this unique position and experience in the market that enables us to deliver integrated solutions that support veterinarians, pet owners, and the animals that rely on us.
Zoetis Diagnostics plays a fundamental role in supporting our company’s mission to advance care for animals through meaningful innovation. Our portfolio of diagnostic products and services is holistically designed to provide veterinary health teams with the support they need to predict, prevent, and diagnose animals in-clinic – contributing to more confident treatment decisions and improved patient outcomes.
What inspired your company to connect with BVA again this year?
We’re proud to have partnered with the BVA time and time again. As the national body for veterinary professionals in the UK, it represents a powerful force for good in advancing the field – something we take very seriously. BVA Live has consistently provided us with an exceptional platform for meaningful engagement with the veterinary community, making it a natural choice again.
This year, we are so excited to be yet again showcasing new innovations. Over the past two years we have evolved our portfolio and brought a multitude of advanced tools and services to clinics, including a number of Vetscan Imagyst AI capabilities and Vetscan OptiCell, alongside our ever expanding Virtual Laboratory.
What product or service are you most excited to showcase at BVA this year?
Earlier this year we launched Vetscan Opticell, an AI-powered haematology analyser, conducting accurate and fast CBC (Complete Blood Count) Analysis. Together with the Vetscan Imagyst AI Blood Smear and our complimentary clinical consultancy service, we’ll demonstrate how these tools provide a comprehensive haematology solution in-clinic. We really are taking in-clinic diagnostic solutions to the next level and allowing our customers to make faster, more informed, diagnoses, develop timely treatment plans and ultimately improve patient care.
What inspires you the most about the Veterinary industry?
We are going through a unique period in the veterinary industry, marked by a shift in demand on vets in clinic. It is inspiring to see how our vets are continually striving to deliver the highest level of care to their patients despite the current challenges they are facing. We believe there is much to be optimistic about, especially the rapid innovation within point of care diagnostics. It is a very exciting place to be.
What is currently the biggest opportunity you see in the Veterinary industry?
The rapid expansion and further development of technology is enabling us to support veterinary professionals and clinics in improving efficiencies and enhancing patient care. At Zoetis, we are proud to be at the forefront of innovation, including advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), which allows us to help vets focus more on their patients. We see the evolution of in-clinic diagnostic solutions as an integral tool to further improve workflows and driving even better outcomes for animals and their owners.
