BVA Live 2025 Unites the Veterinary Profession Through Community, Conversation, and Change
)
From the bustling exhibition floor to expert-led CPD sessions, the show was powered by the energy, curiosity, and collaborative spirit that make BVA Live a truly unique experience.
With 112 exhibitors on the show floor, the event showcased the latest in clinical technologies, pharmaceuticals, business solutions, pet nutrition, and professional development. Delegates explored a comprehensive range of innovations shaping the future of veterinary practice.
At its core, the event embraced a community-first ethos, providing an inclusive space for delegates to share challenges, celebrate their work, and gain practical ideas to apply immediately. The bursary scheme supported this vision by enabling broader attendance and empowering professionals from diverse backgrounds, fostering a connected and representative industry.
“BVA Live has been an incredible celebration of the veterinary profession. What makes this event so special is the strong sense of community, from conversations in every corner of the venue to the genuine enthusiasm for learning and collaboration,” said Aidan Gibbs, Event Director.
He added, “Over the past four years, BVA Live has become more than a platform for high-quality CPD and networking. It’s now a powerful catalyst for real, positive change across the profession. Our aim has always been to unite the veterinary community and drive lasting progress. This year, that vision has come to life more than ever.”
The BVA Live 2025 conference programme expanded across all streams and theatres, earning praise from delegates who described it as “professionally invigorating” and “a variety you simply can’t find anywhere else.” New collaborations brought added depth to clinical sessions, while the business and career-focused streams offered practical guidance for navigating the evolving veterinary landscape. The BVNA continued to deliver content for veterinary nurses, and the Referrals & Diagnostics stream showcased specialist-led sessions from IDEXX, Peninsula Vets, Zomedica, and Zoetis, adding further value and creating a comprehensive, engaging experience for all attendees.
“BVA Live provides a good balance of clinical and non-clinical CPD. A good, friendly atmosphere that makes you feel like the BVA is our association, working to support us in aspects of our careers,” said Susan Hassan, Vet, Luxstowe Vets, Vet Partners.
In an exciting new addition, the Vet Show Exchange featured six exclusive roundtable sessions, bringing peers together for focused, in-depth discussions on critical issues shaping the future of the profession. The BVA Interactive Zone was once again a popular attraction, hosting engaging and hard-hitting debates led by BVA President Liz Mullineaux, Senior Vice President Anna Judson, and Junior Vice President Rob Williams. These sessions addressed topics such as workforce sustainability, clinical autonomy, and the evolving role of veterinary professionals, fostering honest and constructive dialogue in a supportive setting.
BVA President Elizabeth Mullineaux said: “With our educational bursaries opening the door to more people than ever before, this year’s BVA Live truly was bigger and better than ever. It was fantastic to see so many inspiring members of Team Vet coming together to champion the profession, listen to experts, learn from their peers and share their views on the issues which matter the most to vets in the UK. As always, the CPD was of the highest standards and the opportunities to discuss and debate were lively and thought-provoking, with many conversations continuing out of the theatres and into the Interactive Zone – and beyond. An unmissable staple in the veterinary calendar, we’re already looking forward to next year.”
Expanding its support for the industry, The Wellbeing Hub offered a break away from the clinical content, addressing the unique mental health and wellbeing challenges faced by veterinary professionals. Complementing the event’s dynamic programme, the Summer Social kicked off on the bustling show floor and wrapped up against the stunning backdrop of a June sunset at the World Bar, Resorts World.
With its unique blend of community, conversation, and practical learning, BVA Live has once again shown that when the veterinary profession comes together, powerful things happen.
