It’s a knock out: Tips and tricks for successful small mammal anaesthesia

This talk will give an overview of how to prepare yourself (and your small mammal patient) for the ideal anaesthesia. Pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative considerations will be discuss with species specific differences highlighted throughout.

  • By the end of this session you should be able to understand how to reduce stress in small mammals, prepare them for anaesthesia and surgery, set up the ideal hospitalisation unit within your practice and be confident in immediate post-anaesthetic care.
