Oncology in the real world: when and how to use novel cancer diagnostics

Cancer is a growing source of concern for pet owners and a growing field of development for diagnostics. Many tools, many tests, many techniques and methods, among which veterinarians get sometimes lost, trying to make their way through interpreting the results, understanding what they mean for the patient, the limits of the different tests and how to navigate across the “cancer journey” with the pet parents and their pet. In this lecture we will focus on the new cancer diagnostics and how to use them in practice to guide our decisions and plans.
