Eyelid Surgery in the dog

12 Jun 2026
Clinical Theatre 1
Ophthalmology

Surgical correction of eyelid problems can be some of the most satisfying surgeries in general practice. However, attention to the smallest of details is essential if good results are to be attained.  Using videos of actual surgeries, we will consider patient selection, surgical techniques, and postoperative management for eyelid tumors, cherry eye, and entropion.

  • To gain an understanding of eyelid anatomy essential for the eyelid surgeon.
  • To understand the preferred techniques for managing eyelid tumors.
  • To understand the preferred techniques for managing entropion.
  • To understand the preferred techniques for managing “cherry eye”.
