In this session we will cover the essential sampling techniques and in house laboratory tests to determine the inflammatory and microbiological components of ear disease. Initial testing needs to be followed by cytology and other tests to decide when to change or stop treatment. Accurate diagnostic testing is a key component of good antibiotic stewardship and avoids the incorrect use of treatments.
